Principal's Message

Welcome to West Putnam Elementary School! It is a great honor to serve as the principal for  West Putnam. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be in a position where I will work hard to positively impact the lives of students, parents, and staff at West Putnam.

The staff at West Putnam is a talented, dedicated team of professionals that will work arduously to provide your child with an education that will support their academic, social, and emotional growth. Our staff is committed to providing a learning environment where all students will feel safe while being held to high expectations. The West Putnam team will engage in continuous professional development and growth as we continue to develop our Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).

Our school vision at West Putnam is to continue PUSD students with the skills and knowledge to be prepared for college and career and to make a positive impact in a dynamic global society. Through our Dual Immersion Program, Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Lab and technology implementation plan, focus on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and data driven/ research based instructional decision making we aim to ensure that every child has a wonderful learning experience. Our goal is to prepare our students to meet the standard of excellence while becoming college and career ready.

At West Putnam, we welcome parents and encourage them to become an active part of their child’s school community. We invite you to visit our school, become part of the School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), and attend parent nights and school events. We value our partnership with parents and look forward to working together to ensure we have a great school year!
